My Best Friend is operated by Oliva Ministry, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit mybestfriend.kids, watch our videos, use our activities, purchase digital products, or communicate with us.

Our main website is built using Base44. Our online store and checkout are hosted by Shopify, which supports payment processing, order management, and digital delivery.

Our videos and activities are created for children and families. Purchases, customer account management, marketing subscriptions, and customer-support communications are intended for parents, guardians, and other adults.

Information collected

Depending on how you interact with our services, we and our service providers may process:

  • Contact and billing information: Your name, email address, billing address, telephone number, and other details you provide when purchasing or contacting us.

  • Payment and transaction information: Payment details processed by Shopify and payment providers, payment confirmations, purchased products, order history, refunds, and digital-delivery information.

  • Customer account information: Information associated with an adult customer’s account, where an account is used.

  • Communications: Information you include in emails, support requests, or other correspondence.

  • Technical information: IP addresses, browser and device information, cookie identifiers, and related network information.

  • Usage information: Pages visited, interactions with content, referral information, and activity associated with our website, store, embedded videos, and download links.

Information may come directly from you, automatically through your device and our services, or from providers supporting our website, videos, payments, and digital delivery.

How information is used

We use information as applicable to:

Base44 and website analytics

Base44 provides the technology supporting our main website and includes built-in traffic analytics. Hosting and analytics services may process technical and usage information to operate the website, maintain security, and measure visits and interactions.

We have not added Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or separate advertising-tracking tools to our Base44 website. Base44’s built-in services, embedded YouTube videos, and Shopify have their own information-processing practices as described in this policy.

Embedded YouTube videos

Our website includes videos embedded from YouTube, a Google service.

Loading or interacting with an embedded player may allow Google or YouTube to process information such as your IP address, device and browser information, video interactions, and identifiers associated with cookies or similar technologies.

Google’s processing depends on the player configuration, your interactions, and applicable account and privacy settings.

Our relationship with Shopify

Our online store and checkout are hosted by Shopify. Shopify processes information about visits, purchases, and other interactions with the store to provide and improve its services. Information may be shared with Shopify and its service providers in countries outside your country of residence.

Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled for our store. Its enhanced features can use information from interactions with our store, other merchants, and Shopify for personalization, analytics, security, and advertising.

Certain advertising uses may constitute “sharing,” “sale,” or “targeted advertising” under applicable privacy laws. Available choices are described below. Shopify is responsible for certain processing it performs for its enhanced services.

  • Service providers supporting our operations, including Base44, Shopify, payment processors, digital-delivery services, email providers, and technical-support providers.

  • Google and YouTube through the embedded video player.

  • Partners involved in Shopify’s enhanced services, as described above.

  • Professional advisers, authorities, or other parties where necessary to comply with law, address fraud or security issues, or protect legal rights.

  • Parties involved in a business transfer, where permitted by law and subject to applicable privacy protections.

Cookies and privacy choices

Our services and their providers may use cookies and similar technologies for essential functions, security, preferences, analytics, personalization, and advertising, depending on the service and its settings.

On Shopify-hosted pages, you can manage available cookie choices through the cookie banner or Cookie preferences link, where provided.

Shopify recognizes applicable Global Privacy Control signals as described in its privacy information. Shopify’s consent controls apply to its processing; they do not automatically manage every service operating on our Base44 website.

You can also manage cookies through your browser. Blocking certain cookies may affect how features work.

Children’s privacy

Our videos and activities are intended for children and families, including children under 13.

We do not ask children to create accounts, provide names or ages, create profiles, post comments, or upload photographs, videos, or other files. We ask adults to handle purchases, customer accounts, subscriptions, and communications with us.

Website hosting services and embedded video players may automatically process technical and usage information about visitors, including children, as described in this policy.

Parents or guardians may contact hello@mybestfriend.kids to ask about information concerning their child, request access or deletion, or request that further collection or use stop. We will review the request, verify parental authority where appropriate, and address it in accordance with applicable law. Addressing information held by a provider may require coordination with that provider.

Your privacy rights
